Hey folks, welcome to Part 2 to the Dreamlink T2 vs BuzzTV XPL 3000 IPTV boxes.
If you have not already, go back and check out Part 1, where there is some good info on why i started this and an introduction two the both boxes.
This comparison will be done in several parts, with accompanying YouTube videos. Feedback and comments are welcomed :)
The Review (Part 2)
Landing Screen and Apps
The Home/landing screen of the BuzzTV XPL 3000 (see pic below on right) is more refined and useful with "Live TV", "VOD", Shortcuts at the bottom, easy to get to from the get-go. The Dreamlink T2 Home/landing screen is more minimalist and you have to enter sub-menus to access "Live TV", "VOD", etc. But to be fair you can use the buttons on the remotes for Live TV and VOD in either case.
Note on the latest firmware update for Dreamlink T2 the box starts right up into the Live IPTV service, just like a cable TV box would, which i though was a cool feature.

One very note worthy feature of the BuzzTV home screen is the brush (see pic below) used to clear cash/speed up performance of the box. This important feature wonderfully simple to access on the BuzzTV box, without going into sub-menus or downloading additional apps like with the Dreamlink box.

The Market of the BuzzTV (Aptoide TV) is also light years ahead of the Dreamlink T2 Market Place. Aptoide TVs marketplace has a ton of apps for the BuzzTV box and with a very attractive, simple to use, informative interface. It gives you review on the apps, if the apps is trusted, screenshots, and even tells you is a mouse pointer is needed for the app. Compare this to the Dreamlink Marketplace, which has far fewer apps and only a brief description of each app. Actually there is no contest here. Note: You can access Google Play Android market on both boxes if you want to sign-in with you username an password, and there is probably a way to side-load Aptoide TV on the T2, but i'm talking about the simple right out the box convenience of the BuzzTV box marketplace.
Connectivity / Screen sharing
One big advantage of the Dreamlink T2 over the BuzzTV XPL 3000 is the fact that the T2 supports MiraCast and DLAN. This is very useful to share content quickly between devices. For instance, if you don't have a SmartTV or Blu-ray player with DLAN or MiraCast and you decide to get and IPTV box you would need one with these features to be able to easily share content from you smartphone or other devices to your large screen TV. Its simple as casting whatever your viewing on you portable device to you big screen instantly without hassle. I find I use this feature often, for example if I'm watching a video I took on my phone and want to see that video on my TV, I can just cast it to the TV instead of worrying about transferring the video via USB or memory card to my TV.
Note: Fore the T2 Miracast or DLAN feature to work you need to have the Wifi antenna accessory (with will take up a USB port, as I mentioned in Part 1 of this Blog/review). Also its important for me to mention that the W1 antenna for the T2 does not support 5G networks.

Portals/ IPTV Service Providers
You can't watch IPTV without a service Provider. You enter service provider details in the Portal/Server sections for each box. More than one Portal/Server entry option allows you to configure several IPTV service providers at once, and easily switch between them for convenience. The Dreamlink T2 box will allow you to have 3 different IPTV services on your box at once. Making it convenient to compare providers or have backup providers if one goes down or simply have different providers that offer different features. The Buzz TV also allows this convenience, but instead of only 3 entries, it provides you with 10 entries. Maybe 10 is an overkill, but I guess its good to have the option if needed.
As seen in the above picture, the BuzzTV has a little more in the way of comprehensive status lights/indicators. An indicator for Network (NET), and STATUS which also shows you if the unit is on. The Dreamlink has an green status light that shines through the front side (right under the T2) that shows when the unit is on. To be honest I barely even looked at or notice these lights on the boxes when in use. I also like the layout BuzzTV portal, the entries are clearly numbered and easy to navigate, thus it seems more organized/less complicated even though it have so much more portal entries.

Still under construction. A lot more good info and videos to come :)
